I love the title of this blog! Tis the season to be PINK!
Glama Gals has been going full force at both locations. In all of our years in business this has been our busiest year. We thank all our clients and tweens for all their support. We love seeing girls initial reactions when they walk into our spa. Guess what it's only going to get better...
During the holiday season parents sometimes can go stir crazy with the kids home and not much to do outside because of the cold weather. We have created a great holiday camp to ward of these "Pink Blues" and give parents a break during the holidays. Glama Gals Vaughan and Glama Gals Ajax has a Holiday Camp. Girls can come for half day, full day or full week. It goes from December 27 to January 6th.
Our holiday camp runs 9 -4pm or you can do half days from 9-12pm or 1-4pm. Girls will be doing crafts, spa activities, healthy living, confidence and self esteem workshops. Tweens love it and it is a success every year. If you mention this blog post pricing is $50. 00 per full day or $30.00 per half day. Fully week is 199.00 .

Unfortunately the first week of the camp is already fully booked we only have spots left from January January 2- January 6th. Please call our head office line 905-482-4435 to reserve a spot for your tween.
This is great for parents if you want to go run some errands, hit some after boxing week shopping etc. , or just give your tween the opportunity to hang out in a fun and safe environment and not be stuck in front of a TV or wandering around a mall....
Our program is run by certified teachers, ECE's , estheticians and moms!

We did it ! We did it!!
I love the title for this posting!! We have been jumping and screaming since the day we opened our door to our Second Glama Gal Location. We have had one heck of a year and our now proud to say we reached our goal!
Glama Gals Ajax Pickering Village is officially open! We have had an amazing response from Durham and our booking parties and events like crazy!
Our Vaughan location has been extremely busy and has had a face lift !! We have added some funky new furniture and retail items.

Glama Gals Fall-icious Fun
What a beautiful day Glama Gals!! This fall weather is refreshing. I hope most of you tweens are enjoying it.
Glama Gals has been super busy preparing our Durham location which is located in Ajax, yet it is in Pickering Village!! Hope that makes sense. It going to be super chic and posh and definetly the talk of Durham..
We are slated to be complete by October 15th. We have already started booking tons of parties! Our staff for that location is training this weekend and next week.
For bookings at our Ajax location you can call our head office at 905-482-4435 or 416-358-0910 and ask for a Spa Co-ordinator.
We are also going to have Glam Halloween Bash on Sunday October 30th at 2pm and 4pm and 6pm.
It is a drop off or we have a waiting area in the front of the spa for parents. However NO PARENTS ALLOWED IN OUR GLAM HALLOWEEN PARTY AREA.. IT'S GOING TO BE BUSY AND WE RESERVE THE SPACE FOR TWEENS ONLY. If you feel your child can't stay alone we recommend they bring a friend.

Hello to Glam August
Hello Fellow Glama Gals!
It's been a while since I have posted. The Glama Gals have been super busy planning exciting new things for September. We will keep you all posted in the next few weeks!
We have had a surprisingly busy busy busy July and August.. The past few years those have been our slow months. However this year we are the busiest ever! We love it!
Glama Gal Camp next week is almost fully booked with a few spots left.
For this upcoming weekend, we do have a few spots left for some day spa services. However our Spa Party slots are fully booked.
We are booking up quickly for September. If you are looking for a September or October party we recommeny booking it within the next few weeks. If we are booked we will always try to squeeze you in somewhere.
Glama Gals will be opening up a Ajax location!!! Yes you heard it here first. We are scheduled to open October 1st. . You can however call and put yourself on a call back list should you wish to book your event there.
Onto some other news. Glama Gals has come up with "Glam Fundraisers" its a new and innovative event to raise funds for your sports teams, schools, etc. We provide a Glam Night for a low fee and you in turn charge your guests a higher fee. The extra profit goes directly to your organization.
For Example you sell tickets for $60.00 and we charge you $35.00 The remaining proceeds go directly to your organization.
We also have fun games and ideas to help you raise funds.
The boys have their poker fundraisers.. The girls should have their glam fundraisers.

MARCH BREAK!! MARCH BREAK !!! Are you Ready?
Glama Gal March Break Events
Each day during the March Break Glama Gals will host a theme inspired Glam Session. You must book in advance for your selected day. Please note parents can drop girls off for the selected package. Each Package runs approximately one hour in length, however tweens are welcome to stay up to 2 hours and hang in our Tween Lounge. All Packages are 40.00 Per TweenBubble Gum Monday: Bubble Gum Flavored Manicures, Pedicures, and Facials with Mini Lesson and Create your own Bubble Gum Flavoured Ligloss. Bubble Gum served through out.
Crafty Tuesdays: Tweens will create their own Body Scrub Sundae, Lipgloss and Nail polish and finish of this special package with a Pop Rocks Manicure.
"Glee" Wednesdays: You guessed it Glama Gals favorite TV show is GLEE. We will have the GLEE soundtrack and episodes playing through out our spa, while girls will indulge in "Rachel Berry" Manicures and have "Sue Sylvestor" Approved Hair do's. Ending off all our services with a flavored Slushy. (THIS IS GETTING BOOKED UP QUICKLY)
Tropical Thursday: Did your friend's go away and your stuck here! Don't worry Glama Gals is going Tropical. We will be offering Bahama Mama Manicures an Pineapple Pedicures. You will here the waves rolling while you indulge in a Tahiti Inspired Facial with Pineapple Slices on your eyes. We will be serving Strawberry Margheritas ( Non- Alcoholic) Bring you beach bag and a towel while Glama Gals goes Tropical this Thursday.
Pajama Party Friday: Glama Gals will host a huge Pajama Party from 10am to 6pm. Girls can come in their pajamas. Upon entering girls will receive a Glam Passport. They will travel through the Glama Gal Spa to receive a Mini Mani, Make- Up Touch Up, Candy Buffet, Create Your Own Cupcake, Create your own lipgloss and Swag Bag Shopping. The GOAL is to get your passport fully stamped. There will be Pink-tini's served throughout. It will be a great way to end the March Break.
All Packages Include: Full Robe and Slpper Service, Use of our Tween Lounge in which Tweens can listen to music, read a magazine and sing Karaoke. Parents are welcome to drop off tweens for up to Two Hours.

How to Choose The Right Spa Party Company for My Daughters Party?
I decided to post this because over the past few weeks, we have had an overwhelming amount of parents contact us last minute for their party, because the " Spa Party" company they hired could no longer be contacted or went out of business. I will not mention the company or companies that have done this, as I dont have the specific facts in writing that they went out of business. Due to Libel Law in Canada I will refrain from mentionning their names.
So here are some tips to choose the right company that I have come up with, as there are other good companies out there should Glama Gals be Fully Booked LOL!
1) Ensure the company has been in business longer than 2 years
2) They have an extensive recommendation list of clients
3) Their website is their actual name for example www.glamagalparty.com and not www.freewebs.glamagalparty.com (this website type is free) shows the company doesn't have sufficient funds.
4) Make sure they dont offer any other type of party than a spa party, for example pirate parties, baking parties, princess parties, etc. If they offer other types of parties chances are they aren't estheticians, they aren't using the proper apparatus and disinfection used for spa utensils.
5) Ensure the owner and staff is certified with children and or esthetics
6) Their sanitation and disinfection procedures. All items used nail files, buffers etc. Brushed for hair and cosmetic brushes. SHOULD ALL BE DISPOSABLE. There is now way you can properly disinfect all of the above in a timely manner during a party. THEREFORE DISPOSABLE IS THE WAY TO GO.
7) DO they take credit card or debit card etc as payment. If they don't they don't have enough credit to back up their company and they are a Cash business that can open and close whenever they like.
8) DO NOT ALLOW ANY COMPANY TO BRING FOOD TO YOUR HOME. They must have a food license by your local municipality for that. What if something is wrong with the food and one of your guest gets sick or ill? Do you know where that food has been?
9) Nail Polish- Ask what brands they use? We have heard of some companies using a cheap and I really mean cheap . Dollar store brand. They should be using OPi etc or Tween Friendly Natural Nail Polish.
Same goes for Make Up- They should be using well known Brands.
10) Ask how many staff will be coming to your party. The last thing you want is 1 staff with 12 kids. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

I think piece of mind is best. Also this wasn't a marketing ploy so you would book Glama Gals for your next mobile at home or in studio party. I genuinely felt bad for the parents that were apart of this company or companies fall out.

Breakfast Television @ Glama Gals
Josie and I would like to say a huge thank you to Breakfast Television for visiting us. It was so much fun!
Jennifer is so personable, genuine and compassionate. She made all the girls feel really special. I was a bit nervous to be on T.V. Having had a baby 9 months ago and not losing very much baby weight I put on. I was very nervous to be on the camera. However I have to practise what I preach. It's not what on the outside, it's what's on the inside that counts.
I was a bit emotional after watching it after. I was so proud of all the hard work Josie, myself and our staff have put into Glama Gals over the past 5 years. Alot of people come in and think what a great idea, this is easy etc, I should open up one of these. I have to say it's not easy, you can try and copy us all you want. However it will never be what Josie and I have made it. We really put our heart into Glama Gals. It truly is our life. Our clients come for US. We make each tween feel as if it is our first customer.
Josie and I get disappointed when we see companies pop up that have copied our concept. We laugh when we have "nosey" customers call us to find out really weird information. We know who you are and we can smell the imposters and copycats a mile away. So when you call and ask us our ingredients, where we get our items from, our ask us to go step by step through a typical party, or if you visit us and just ask alot of questions that dont pertain to your party, or you ask questions and stumble upon your words when you dont remember your childs birthday date. We are onto YOU and two steps ahead of you. The dead giveaway is when you call under PRIVATE NUMBER. So please don't waste your time and ours and be ORIGINAL, because the only person you are fooling is yourself. I had to get this off my chest, because we are so tired of everyone trying to copy and steal our ideas.
We are really excited for the future and have some exciting plans for Glama Gals expansion into retail and a few more locations by the end of the year.
We are so blessed and honored to have so many amazing customers and friends.
